Following private sector complaints of the curfew’s negative impact on business, the army has announced the curfew’s repeal in three provinces.
Pattaya, Koh Samui and Phuket provinces are no longer subject to the midnight curfew, according to a Royal Thai Army spokesperson.
“Curfew has been lifted in the following areas: Pattaya , Koh Samui and Phuket Province. Curfew in other areas remains in effect,” reads an English-language update this afternoon.
