Buakaw Banchamek fought out a decisive win from a rematch against Frenchmen Djime Coulibaly before the rich and famous of Monaco on Saturday.
By a unanimous decision, the 31-year-old Muay Thai sensation maintained his five-years-undefeated status in five rounds at the Louis II Stadium before the principality’s Prince Albert II.
By defeating Coulibaly, Buakaw seized the WMC crown.
