A critique of the media influences driving our obsession with appearances, artist Sakon Taoklan gives his brush-stroked take at “Illusion of Human Body.”
Many people reject their true selves, instead learning to hide, repair and rehabilitate their bodies to achieve beauty. The exhibitions theme approaches our overconsumption of media in terms of a loss of the “truth” to our own human forms.
The opening reception will be at 6pm on Thursday.
