Smashed turtle rescued from someone’s stew on Bang Na-Trat road

It’s been a tough week for our slowest friends.

Someone smashed a turtle and left him bleeding in the Bang Na-Trat Road area, but the unlucky reptile got some help after his story went public.

After the story aired on JS100 radio, generous soul Chutima Ngoamraporn came to rescue the injured animal yesterday and paid for his treatment at Kwankum Pet Hospital.

The eight-kilogram turtle was reportedly found by locals earlier in the day, who witnessed him being stuffed in a canvas bag and cruelly smashed.

The person reportedly ran away after being spotted, leaving the injured turtle behind.

Locals assume the person attempted to destroy the turtle to eat it, Post Today reported.

Last week rescuers in Ayutthaya saved a turtle after it was hit by a car.
