Thai tourists add their own greatness to old Chinese wall

“Maya was here,” one proud tourist recorded. Others sounded a similar note.“Prapassaraporn was here,” was written, presumably by Prapassaraporn or her majordomo.

Some Thai tourists racked up some international infamy while visiting China recently by proclaiming their arrival at the Great Wall of China by scribbling their names on its ancient bricks.

Being Thai, they wrote their autographs clearly and correctly, defacing the monument far more tidily than other vandals.

However the news will be a blow to the moral high ground of those who complain of uncouth behavior by visiting Chinese.

The photos have triggered outrage here at home, with some criticizing the unknown vandals for heaping shame on the country, Khaosod reported.
