Thailand Post rescues living tortoises from parcels

Thailand Post this morning shared the most recent stupid and cruel smuggling attempt involving its delivery service.

The state mail carrier shared photos of two tortoises cut free of their bubble wrap-bondage, duct tape and cardboard to remind other customers the organization doesn’t deliver living things.

“Sending living creatures through Thailand Post is prohibited and might damage other packages. In this case, water came out of the boxes,” the caption read. “Also, it’s very dangerous for the animals which might die from suffocation. Poor tortoises. Please don’t send animals through us.”
