A ladyboy was arrested at her home in Bangkok’s Thung Khru district yesterday after she attempted to rape a 72-year-old woman suffering from paralysis.
Sopa, a 26-year-old karaoke bar waitress, told police she stopped by her partner’s home in Soi Prachautit 80 after drinking with customers early Tuesday morning in search of sexual release, but her playmate wasn’t home.

As Sopa headed out around 5:30am, she saw a 72-year-old woman lying in front of another house in the same soi. Under the influence of alcohol, the ladyboy attempted to rape the grandmother. The poor woman was so shocked she released her bowels and defecated, causing the transgender woman to gain some sense and leave.
Thung Khrru authorities arrested Sopa at her home in Soi Prachautit 78 as locals took the victim to file a police report and helped identify Sopa.
Sopa told the police she has had intercourse with men only and would never turn straight, but Tuesday night she did not care whether the 72-year-old was a man or a woman because she was intoxicated, Khaosod reported.
