Meanwhile in Amnat Charoen, a herd of monkeys shut down a road to beg for food.

Some of the 5,000 crab-eating macaques in the northeastern province’s Don Chao Poo Animal Sanctuary reportedly ditched the forest to take over a street and seek demand tolls from passers-by.

According to witnesses, some of the macaques even jumped onto cars and motorbikes while sadly there were a number of casualties as speeding vehicles hit the monkeys.

Barom Bampen, who sells monkey food in front of the sanctuary says, from his observation, the monkeys have been rapidly reproducing and stealing food from nearby houses.

Reports of rising conflict between man and monkey have been streaming in throughout the kingdom, as expanding human populations clash for resources with the native simian residents.

Assuming the monkeys don’t have enough food, the locals sought to get the attention of officials for help in getting the monkeys fixed, so they have enough food. After all, they are generally lovely and don’t hurt people, Khaosod reported.
