Free bus and train services will continue for another six months, extended from today through the end of January to reduce the burden on low-income families, the junta has announced.
The free rides covers 73 routes of non air-conditioned buses in Bangkok and 172 third-class interprovincial trains.
Officials also agreed to extend diesel excise tax break of THB0.005 per litre through the end of August, Bangkok Post reported.
