Like the rape-free cars now offered on many rail lines, rape-free parking areas are coming to Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Single women travelers or those with young children can park on the third floor of building two starting Tuesday, according to Makin Petplai, Airports of Thailand president.
Women guards will provide security for the area, which can hold 450 vehicles, Bangkok Post reported. The service will demo on Thursday, and if it proves popular, the service will be expanded to other airports. Don Mueang plans to dedicate floors 3A and 3B to women travelers by October.
