Normally a petty criminal’s name wouldn’t make the headline, but this time the story is the name.
None other than Hengjobshappylife Makelifebetter was arrested in Surin recently after allegedly trying to steal an iPhone 5 from a man at a basketball court. In case you didn’t know, “heng” means lucky.
The victim noticed that his phone went missing and tracked Makelifebetter down via a tracking app before calling the police in, who arrested him on July 21.
A photo of the thief’s ID card has been circulating online, leaving netizens to wonder why officials allowed him to pick such a name and consider that perhaps such a lucky name doesn’t always mean a better life.
