Sayonara! Japanese dad of nine surrogate babies flees Thailand

After vowing to sue to regain custody of nine babies found inside a Lat Phrao condominium on Tuesday, a Japanese man has fled the kingdom.

Shigeta Mitsutoki, 24, left Thailand on a flight to Macao today, The Nation reported.

Police said Mitsutoki had entered Thailand 65 times during the past two years.

When authorities entered the Niche ID condominium on Soi Lat Phrao 130 Tuesday on a tip, they found nine babies, nine nannies, a pregnant women, and a Japanese secretary. All nine babies were between one-month- and six-months-old.
