7-Eleven ‘drive thru’ moto daredevil turns himself in

There’s no setting anything to “private” in our digitally linked lives.

A man caught on tape riding his motorbike through a 7-Eleven turned himself into police yesterday after the video of the year-old incident spread online.

Methat Srisuchat, 30, went to the Bangkok Yai police station to tell police he was the one wanted for riding through the convenience store and apologized.

“I didn’t do it because I wanted to damage the store. I was just reckless,” he told police, according to Khaosod, and apologized for his behavior.

He also explained the video was taken more than a year ago on a dare from friends, and despite intending to keep it private, the video was recently uploaded by someone to YouTube.

Despite his contrition, police filed public disruption and traffic violation charges against Methat.
