Phitsanulok tells thief to exchange stolen bike for his wife and booze

Take my wife … please!

A heartbreaking incident of motorbike theft prompted that ancient one-liner from the victim yesterday, who uploaded a video pleading with the thief to return his bike in exchange for his wife.

Following the heartbreaking incident where his motorbike was stolen yesterday, Facebook user “Kip Kathi” promptly released a viral video that spread across the Thai media.

Standing in front of a large vinyl banner, “Kip Kathi” appealed to the thief on camera to return his Honda Wave under a banner reading “Dear well-regarded thief, you stole my bike? You should have taken my wife!”

Addressing the thief and “social network folks,” the man said in the video repeated the offer, adding, “I’ll even buy you a drink. Thank you.”

He even played the sad funeral dirge at the end of the video for dramatic effect.
