A 65-year-old woman jumped into a pool of 1,000 crocodiles and died at the Samut Prakan Crocodile Farm and Zoo on Friday.
The deceased was an ice seller at the Nakhon Romklao Central Market in Samut Prakan province. She reportedly came to the farm alone and jumped into an 8,000-square-meter pond where the zoo keeps a thousand crocodiles, according to a statement today from farm Director Uthen Youngprapakorn.
The staff first spotted the woman’s shoes sitting beside the pond, and 20 minutes later her remains and social security ID card floated to the surface.
Speaking to the media, her family said they believed it to be true but couldn’t speculate as to the motive, claiming the woman was always in a good mood, JS100 and PPTV reported.
