A THB20,000 bounty has been offered for the arrest of whoever hanged a pregnant dog and her puppy to death at a gas station in Chonburi.

Animal activists announced via A Call for Animal Rights yesterday a THB10,000 reward will be given to the person who hands in suspected dog killer identified as Mana Nattheeprasert, 47, to the police. Another THB10,000 will be given to the arresting officer who can see Mana face the maximum penalty allowed under law.

According to witnesses, Mana is a construction worker who lives near the NGV gas station where he hanged his pregnant dog and a six-month-old puppy because they scratched his vehicle.

Photos of two dogs hung by nylon cord from a parking awning at an NGV gas station were shared by thousands this week, provoking an outrage.

Mana has reportedly fled to Hua Hin in Prachuap Khiri Khan province.
