Taxi driver returns THB150,000 gems to American jewelry trader

A noble Bangkok taxi driver was rewarded generously after he handed in THB150,000 worth of jewelry back forgotten by an American passenger.

When Jakkri Sattanan, 37, found a large bag of gem accessories in his car Tuesday after work, he reached out to FM91 police radio to look for two foreign passengers he’d dropped off at Soi Sukhumvit 2.

Jewelry trader Steven Michael Hansen, one of the passengers, received his valuables back yesterday and rewarded Jakkri with THB10,000 cash for his honesty.
