Hipster the King: Is being cool still cool or not?

Does your culture run counter and your rock skew indie? Is irony the only valid rhetorical device? Will you pay more for stuff that looks old, er, vintage?

Long after the great convergence, when strains of punk, hippie, goth, mod, alternative, metal, new wave, indie, et al. merged into one universal identity today branded “hipster,” the conceptual dance artists of Democrazy Theatre Studio and Noncitizen are bringing their own study to the issue.

First staged earlier this year, “Hipster the King” is the latest experimental production by Thanapol Virulhakul.

Tickets are THB450 at the door, but available at a discount in advance. Reservations can be made by callling 081-441-5718 or contacting democrazystudio on Line.
