All those Mariah-haters who say the diva can’t sing? They might be right.
Three weeks before Mariah Carey is scheduled to bring her Elusive Chanteuse tour to Bangkok, the first night of its Asian engagements proved something of a debacle when the singer just couldn’t seem to sing, at least when she could remember the lyrics to her own songs.
Fans took to Twitter after she couldn’t seem to hit the right notes to express their disappointment following Saturday’s show in Tokyo.
“I see why Mariah Carey never sings live anymore,” read one widely shared Tweet by user @Peaches&Herb.
Here’s hoping her fans in Thailand won’t be disappointed when Carey performs Oct. 30 at Impact Arena.
