What would you do to advance medical treatments for women’s health issues? Would you contribute to a broad study by sending a photo of your vagina to a female doctor and her all-woman team? What if there was a possible THB40,000 stipend?
Some women did, only to find out the woman doctor was actually Chaithawat Loilong, police said, who used the photos to blackmail them into holding naked Skype sessions with him or risk having their photos posted online.
The self-proclaimed “female anatomy researcher” was arrested in north Bangkok Tuesday by police Tuesday after one of his marks went to authorities.
Chaithawat Loilong, a 25-year-old employee at a digital television channel, used a fake Facebook account to lure the women into sending photos of their breasts and vaginas, claiming his female “research team” would keep the victims’ information and photos confidential.
An unknown number of women fell victim to his scam. Chaithawat would reportedly masturbate during the Skype sessions with the women he ensnared.
A nurse from Chiang Mai however went to the police after she resisted and her photos were leaked online. Police tracked his IP address, leading to his arrest at home in Pathum Thani province.
Police found photos of approximately 10 other victims on his computer, Morning News and Manager reported.
