The military is searching for a man shown in an army-print jacket who viciously shot a dog and bragged about it online.
Photos of the dead dog, with its two back legs tied up, were posted to Facebook by a user who claimed he shot the dog because it attacked his chicken. The account has since been made unavailable.
“Two bullets, and now it lies still,” the caption read. “You bit my chicken, stupid dog!”
In several photos on his profile, the man wears a military jacket, prompting animal rights organization Watchdog Thailand to contact the army for help.
Col. Thanut Pisansitthiwat of the 47th Rangers Regiment said he’s spread the man’s photo among other units, but no one has reported finding him.
It’s also possible the man is not an active-duty soldier.

The Facebook account has been taken offline due to the outrage, while Watchdog Thailand is looking to prosecute the dog killer, even though it would mean he would only face a maximum fine of THB1,000 and/or month in jail under current law.
