Phantom photos to chill your bones!

Look away, skeptics. Take your smartest-person-on-the-internet award and go be pedantic elsewhere.

Still with us? Good. Turn down the lights and pore over these haunted photos capturing all sorts of paranormal activity by spirits from beyond the grave.

Some of these photos circulated since the beginning of the internet. Some obviously have been scanned. Some are old while others appear to be of the Instagram age.

Is there some Photoshop in there? Get over it. Let’s stow our bland empiricism for a moment and embrace a far more fantastic world where the living are haunted, tormented, stalked, possessed, poltergeisted, and yes, sometimes loved by ghouls, ghosts and specters.

So, without further ado, here are some of our finest photo-bombing phantoms.

Friends Forever

See who wanted to be in the photo? The boys believed they captured the face their friend who died from an accident on camera. What would you do if your best friend just wouldn’t leave you alone?

The big fan

An instagram post featuring comedian Yokyek Cheonyim became an unexpectedly haunted photo when another fan wanted to be in the picture too. Look into the shadows. How many people are in the photo?

The mysterious observer

The photo was snapped while the rescue volunteers were collecting the body of a man who died from a car accident. Notice the shadowed observer who’s covered in blood? Maybe he’s watching over his body.

Who’s on the coffin?

As funeral attendees gathered for a group photo after the ceremony, it looks like someone also wanted to be in the picture. Judging from his complexion and the way he disrespectfully sits on the coffin, it’s clearly more demon than human.

The mobile morgue

In a van which has carried hundreds of dead bodies, is it possible one became attached to its death bed? Looks like the little boy hasn’t found his way out. RIP.

The rescuer

At a funeral for a rescue volunteer who died in a car accident, an attendee quickly snapped two photos of himself with the uniform of the deceased. But who’s behind the picture frame in the second photo?

The mysterious legs appear in the same uniform with one shoe missing … just like his condition he passed away. (They couldn’t find one of his shoes.)

The classmate

The photo was taken in a classroom. It looks like one student was annoyed by what was going on.

Maybe she looked straight to the camera to remind the photo taker to pay attention.

The ferris wheel rider

In a carnival where children come to enjoy a ride on the tall ferris wheel, looks like someone couldn’t wait in the line and decided to sit on top of it. Is he on a break from the haunted house station?

The hand

Actress Pim Zaza wrapped her arm around her boyfriend for an instagram photo. But why is her hand so large and manly?

The photo sparked a controversy as the rumor spreaded Pim’s hand might be replaced with someone else’s…

The grateful student

Students were lining up to receive the blessing from their teachers when the headless one decided to stop by.

Actress’ manly leg

Issara ‘Dew’ Thongborisut (left) unknowingly instagrammed a photo of herself with a ghost leg during a vacation in Macau two years ago. This was pointed out by her fans who speculated Dew did not have a scar on her left leg while the skin color and size is totally different from her other leg.

So … whose leg is that?

Let’s cuddle
A fan of The Shock radio submitted his selfie taken at a hotel in Udonthani. The man said he was alone. Maybe the previous guest hasn’t checked out yet.
