Kitty rescued from Lat Phrao flattening by top national cop

A panicked kitty owes one of its nine lives to national police chief Somyod Pumpanmuang today after the sharp-eyed commander spotted it scramble under a moving vehicle this afternoon.

Gen. Somyod, commander of the Royal Thai Police, was observing traffic at Lat Phrao intersection this morning when the imperiled kitten prompted him to immediately halt traffic to rescue the scared lump of fur.

Somyod stopped a Toyota before it could flatten the little black cat trying to cross the road, which has no kitten-friendly crossing areas.

A traffic police officer hunched down under the car and retrieved the little guy from under it. He’s probably younger than 2 months.

Somyod then ordered the officer to care for the kitty as traffic resumed, Daily News reported.
