CCTV footage shows suspected ‘Bumfights’ thieves enter Siriraj Medical Museum

Two Americans accused of stealing human body parts can reportedly be seen in security footage visiting the Bangkok hospital museum they are thought to have burglarized.

As authorities seek international help with apprehending Ryan McPherson and Daniel Tanner after they fled to Cambodia on Sunday, today’s footage seems to show the two men, wearing backpacks, as they come and go from the Siriraj Medical Museum on Thursday.

The footage shows two men resembling McPherson and Tanner signing into the museum’s guestbook at 2:55pm on Thursday. As Tanner signs into the guestbook, McPherson can be seen stowing his camera in a bag, possibly on the instruction of a staff member. The two are then shown leaving 30 minutes later. No cameras, however, are believed to have captured the alleged theft.

Indeed security is light at the museum, and no guards seem to regularly watch the displays.

Authorities had previously said the pair entered Thailand on Thursday and visited the hospital Friday before attempting to ship their grisly trophies from a DHL service center at BTS National Stadium. The date on the video places their visit on Thursday.

Two men believed to be suspects Ryan McPherson and Daniel Tanner are seen signing in at the Siriraj Hospital Medical Museum.

McPherson originally told police he’d the five boxes of human body parts containing a baby’s head, baby’s right foot, sheets of tattooed human skin and a murder victim’s heart from a night market in Bangkok, but couldn’t remember where it was.

The men were released due to insufficient evidence or cause to hold them Saturday. Arrest warrants for the two men were issued Tuesday after Siriraj officials claimed the items and announced the burglary.
