Explore a world of warped geekery on ‘Planet Dao’

Bangkok native Dao Paoviman, aka Planet Dao, is a nerd’s nerd.

Japanese manga, anime, old Thai ghost stories, Australian psychedelia and street art created another world in the artist’s head, the colorful, detailed world of “Planet Dao,” which the public is invited to explore later this month at Goja Gallery Cafe.

Her work draws you into an alternate dimension, a familiar and at the same time alien reality we rarely enter in a conscious state,” reads a notice from the gallery.

The opening reception starts at 7 pm on Dec. 26 with drinks, food and music.
