Prayuth pours out his heart in New Year message

Prayuth Chan-ocha spoke to the press at the Thai government house this morning to wish Thais a happy new year and discuss the past year.

It was when asked a particularly hard-hitting question, namely what would be his gift to the Thai people, the junta chief got emotional about how much he has given to everyone.

“I only have my heart to give to citizens,” Prayuth said in Daily News. “These days I only have my heart and my life left to give to the Thais. Every day I think about how to bring happiness to you.”

Prayuth then wished Thailand a happy new year and said he hopes everyone stays out of conflicts.

“As the government, I wish everyone happiness,” he said “Let’s help develop our country. We only have one year left, and we want everyone’s help. Whatever problems there may be, I want you to bring them into the system. Please don’t prolong the conflict.”

He also ate half a banana and then threw it at a reporter, but he seemed to just be havin’ a laugh.
