Suvarnabhumi Airport holiday tree mystifies public

Gold-sparkle Santa Pimps workin’ the sax like Bill Clinton? Mirror-paneled Cirque du Soleil cast-offs loitering about? Green angelic beings?

Christmas is over, but this magical tree at Suvarnabhumi Airport has left many unanswered questions.

The concept of what’s supposed to be a happy holiday display and selfie-spot at the airport was being debated online today behind the decor.

“There’s some kind of energy in this tree,” the top comment said.

Others seem to agree the decor makes the tree look like one of those “haunted” trees found upcountry wrapped in strips of colorful fabric.

“If only the fabric were red or green,” “Pattyman” suggested.

Aside from acting as the national gateway to the world, Suvarnabhumi is well-known for hosting many ghosts, from the famous Thai Airways ghost who appeared to passengers to the Haunted Honda.
