Can you hear that? That’s the sound of a thousand mighty wings coming to unleash pigeon racing hell here in Thailand along with their greatest champion.
Next year the Racing Pigeon International Association will let fly their winged contenders to swoop through skies across the kingdom at an international pigeon race that will draw none other than that great friend to pigeonhood everywhere – former champion boxer Michael Gerard “Mike” Tyson.

Racers (namely, their pigeons) from 30 countries have signaled they will join in blackening the skies and whitening the earth with approximately 20,000 competing birds, some of which are worth up to THB13 million, according to state media.
This May, Association President Sunthorn Jarumol announced regional races will be held in the north, northeast and southern regions of Thailand.
