A young British political activist was found dead on the resort island of Koh Tao on Wednesday.

Scant details are available regarding the death of the woman, who was identified yesterday in British media as Christina Annesley, 23, but her mother yesterday said it was due to natural causes.

Annesley had taken to social media Monday to complain of needing antibiotics during her vacation, according to The Telegraph.

“Great, just as I finally make friends I have to shell out £60 for antibiotics and now can’t afford to go out with them. Fuck everything,” she wrote.

Annesley is the latest in a series of foreigners to die on the same island where Britons Hannah Witheridge and David Miller were brutally slain in September.

“Seriously if Koh Tao is a sleepy diver’s paradise what the hell is Koh Phanghan like,” she said on Twitter of the island.

Nigel Farage, head of the right-wing UK Independence Party, or UKIP, said he was “sad and shocked” to learn of the death of Annesley, who had been part of the movement’s youth wing.
