Facebookers using slow connections have a new, lightweight app to use called Facebook Lite.
The latest addition to Facebook’s prolific app library is a basic version of the popular messaging app that weighs in at only 252 kilobytes, making it perfect for slow internet connections or those trans-Pacific cable cuts that routinely wreck our connection speeds in Southeast Asia.
Unfortunately we’ll have to wait to use it: The app was released last week in Vietnam, Bangladesh and several African nations.
Oh and Android only, for now.
