An endangered loris was rescued by Pattaya police this morning from a woman who carried it around in an ugly dress for tourists to take photos with for money.
Responding to complaints, police arrested Naruemon Iamsa-art, 23, in front of Central Festival Pattaya Beach shopping mall with her loris in a pink dress.
Naruemon admitted to police she collected THB100 from tourists who wanted to take cool selfies with the exotic traumatized cutie, a proud tourist tradition modeled famously by Rihanna two years ago.
Naruemon faces prosecution while the loris will be sent to the Banglamung Wildlife Breeding Center in Chonburi, Khaosod reported.
