Nok Air to attract Chinese tourists with more flights to mainland

Nok Air plans to open more routes between Thailand to China this year as a strategy to attract more tourists as the Europeans are slacking off.

Three-to-four routes from China are expected to open soon after Nok Air received good feedback on a new route to Hefei, China, CEO Patee Sarasin said Tuesday.

Patee added Chinese tourists have become a big part in growing Thailand’s tourism, as fewer Europeans are visiting the kingdom.

Nok Air will also open a route to Vietnam at the end of this year while the airline is in the process of purchasing four more planes to handle 11-12 million passengers per year, Thairath reported.
