Thailand will need to clean up its public toilet act to meet the expectations of all the pan-Asean butts heading its way.
Transport Minister Prajin Juntong said toilets need to be cleaner and safer at public transportation facilities by the time the Asean Economic Community goes into effect later this year.
Notably Prajin added that staff at such public restrooms must stop charging fees to use them as they are in fact operated by the government, according to Bangkok Post.
In Bangkok that means changes at the Northern and Eastern bus terminals, where the toilets are operated by contractors which charge fees.
