Photos of a mommy dog lying beside her dead puppy in southern Thailand posted yesterday by the Ruamkatanyu Foundation have spread everywhere online for their poignant feels.
Dia, the rescue volunteer who took the photos, said the protective mother would not let anyone come close or collect her puppy, the victim of a hit-and-run driver who fled the scene without checking on the puppy in Nakhon Sri Thammarat province.
Dia said the image made her question the merits of “humanity” in a world where she frequently gets reports of dead babies abandoned by their mothers.
