Time to start crafting next-level costumes for the second coming of Thailand’s second-first comic con.
After cramming more people than comfortable into Siam Paragon last year, Bangkok Comic will grow into a larger space when it returns next month at BITEC Bangna.
That means more space to wait small eternities in long lines for ussies with an Elf rogue princess, Cyberdyne Systems T-950 or Targaryen pretender to the Iron Throne.
Mostly a symbiotic marketing exercise between corporate media and otaku, last year’s con featured booths from both major American movie studios to obscure online game developers, cosplay contests and some discussion panels.
This year the con will coincide with Anime Festival Asia Thailand, which runs April 30 to May 3 at BITEC.

The first Bangkok Comic Con debuted last year just a weeks after Thailand Comic Con, which will also return in May to Siam Paragon.
