Junta chief Gen. Prayuth Chan-ocha attempted to express his sincere gratitude in English to some tourists who chose Thailand as their travel destination.
During a visit to Hua Hin to meet with beach businesses operators last Friday, Prayuth addressed a group of Dutch tourists as seen in footage posted to Facebook by user Joe Gordon.
Prayuth: “Thank you for … Thank you for … [then he said in Thai] what was that again?”
Helpful Tourist: “Visit your country?”
Prayuth: “Piss full! Come, come … Thailand .. more than … all of the Holland.”
Prayuth also clarified the situation in Thailand when confronted by Australian reporter Samantha Hawley on Wednesday.
“Thailand is a … look like a shirt, and the button the button … like this. The wrong, maybe … Thailand not only this, but maybe shirt and trousers.”
