Necromancy feared as gold-foiled dead baby discovered

Police are investigating an infant corpse found inside a glass coffin buried beneath a Chiang Mai temple.

The remains, buried under Wat Huai Din Jee, were wrapped with gold leaf, a practice consistent with black rites intended to harness the newborn souls as thralls.

Possibly another case involving the dark arts of kuman tong, police are currently investigating the necromancers responsible.

The Nation reports that Chalerm Duangthong, the temple’s former abbot, confessed to burying the corpse under the shrine but said he did nothing wrong.
