A very hangry monk who came home empty-handed after his morning bintabaht took out his appetite for destruction yesterday on an innocent car’s windshield in northern Bangkok.

According to witnesses, Phra Sophon Pongsura, 52, smashed his empty alms bowl onto the left window, front and rear windshields of a Nissan parked at Pathum Thani’s Buddhism Promotion Center, where he lives.

Pairach Booranapol, 40, the car’s owner said he was working at a nearby movie set before he found to find his car all smashed up.

Phra Sophon admitted he needed to express his anger because nobody gave him food during the morning alms.

He’s already been booted from the monkhood and will be prosecuted, Morning News reported.
