To boldly go with Thai-Japanese artists at GOJA Gallery

There’s nothing cooler than space. It’s such a big place where anything can happen and everyone is sexy. In space.

Space is pretty dark, and sometimes we like it weird and spooky. Those whose inner spaces still float in wonder of its infinite possibilities will steer their hypderdrives to “Space Oddity” next month at Goja Gallery.

The collaborative exhibition between Thai and Japanese artists features Japanese illustrator Yui Abe, whose space-themed works are dreamy, sparkly and super-twinkly. Thai printmaker Jitti Jumnianwai, who still holds tight to childhood memories of Star Wars, robots and sleek spaceships, will channel his space fetish into paintings that speak to a sentimental happiness for those days.

The opening reception starts at 7pm on June 5, and the exhibition runs through June 28.
