She was given THB5 extra change from a 7-Eleven a month ago, but guilt ate at her 5-year-old mind, and returning the money proved more valuable.
An honest little girl wrote a letter to a 7-Eleven branch in Songkhla province to return a THB5 coin a store employee accidentally gave her extra last month, according to a snapshot of the envelope shared yesterday by Facebook user “Fern Ki,” who said she worked at the store which received the letter.
Getting extra change might be a chance. But returning is a choice. The envelope said it was from from a little girl who still uses the title “Dek Ying.” It was addressed to the manager of the store.
“Sawasdee ka. My name is Dek Ying Sarisa Komoltri. On May 6 of this year, you gave me extra change, so I am returning it to you with this letter. Thank you.”
The employee shared it to the popular YouLike community and praised the girl.
“She will be another fine adult when she grows up,” Fern wrote.
