National police launch probe into racist Leicester FB orgy

Thai police have launched an investigation into a trio of British footballers who appeared in a sex video in which they made racially derisive comments to Thai women.

National Police Chief Somyot Pumpanmuang said authorities will weigh legal action against the Leicester City FB players, who took part in the orgy while in Thailand on a “goodwill tour.”

Somyot also said police would seek to identify the women in the tape, not to seek testimony – but to prosecute them for prostitution, according to state media.

On Wednesday the Leicester City FC announced it had fired the three players, one of whom is the son of its manager.

The tape caused outrage in the kingdom but little comment from King Power owners Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha and Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, the father-and-son tycoons who bought the team five years ago and spent heavily to grow their fan base in Thailand.

The team was at the center of a “strategic international partnership” with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, and for the past two years the “Amazing Thailand” slogan appeared on Leicester City’s jerseys.
