A teen girl distracted by her smartphone fell onto the tracks at BTS Krung Thonburi in front of an oncoming train this morning, witnesses said.
The crowd of waiting commuters erupted in panic at about 8:30am when the train came to an emergency stop as it entered the station. Guards were seen pointing under the train when suddenly a teen girl appeared to climb out from under the train, causing everyone to scream, according twitter user @MissMikan.
The girl was seen playing with her smartphone before stepped forward and falling onto the tracks, said @Am2NineP. The unidentified girl seemed to be okay, but a photo of her iPhone left for dead on the tracks was also snapped by a witness.
The latest update was that Skytrain staff were performing first aid on her, and she was moving her arms.
