While it is easy for love and affection for a place to vanish in shitty traffic and the daily grind, but these farang remind Thailand’s residents what they actually love about their home, native or adopted.
Four foreigners talk in perfect Thai how they’ve developed a sense of belonging in the kingdom. The video was produced and posted last week by Picnicly, a local viral content website.
“A house is about the construction but if you ask me what home is, it’s all about the feeling,” American dude “Luke” says.
It’s the scene of street food buzzing day and night, the hospitality, and the friendly people. This is instead of getting them down, Thailand’s hot weather just warmly melts their hearts.
“We cannot choose where to be born, but we can choose where to live, and I choose Thailand,” Mina from Germany says.
This is also good encouragement for anyone struggling to learn the language: Don’t give up!
