Jam with Muse in Bangkok This September

Presented by

It’s been a big month for British alternative rock band Muse. For the first time in more than 20 years together, the band has made it to the number one spot on Billboard’s US Albums Chart with their latest album Drones. Muse has also announced another first; On Wednesday, September 23, Muse will rock the stage at Impact Arena Muang Thong Thani, the band’s first performance in Thailand ever.

While Muse is crushing it in the US and worldwide with the latest release of Drones, the band has been a huge presence in the music world since forming in the early ‘90s. Matthew Bellamy, Christopher Wolstenholme, and Dominic Howard started playing together at university, but dropped out together to form Muse after winning a local battle of the bands competition in 1994. In 1999, they released their first record Showbiz and began their rise to fame. In 2011, the band solidified its spot in history by winning a Grammy Award for Best Rock Album with The Resistance.

Muse has released seven hit albums in the trio’s two plus decades together. The electrifying Drones World Tour, presented by AEG Live and Live Nation BEC-Tero, is the band’s fifth tour together, and the first tour to bring the men of Muse to the Kingdom. The band will also be making stops in Asia include Beijing, Shanghai, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Seoul.

There’s a lot to look forward to at this concert. If guitar riffs are your thing, you’re going to love Muse’s track “Reapers” off of the latest Drones album. Get deep with “The Globalist,” a track that explores a range of important issues. “The Handler” sounds a lot like early Muse, and we love it. We’re also looking forward to hearing old favorites like “Uprising” and “hysteria.”

Tickets start at just 2,000 THB and can be purchased at ThaiTicketMajor outlets, online at www.thaiticketmajor.com, or by phone at 0-2262-3838. For more info on this and future Bangkok concerts, visit www.facebook.com/bectero and www.bectero.com.
