A horde of wild elephants invaded a local farm in Yala province with two objectives: to stomp all over shit and eat fruit, villagers said yesterday.
The magnificent seven beasts first raided some farmland last week, but villagers said they were reluctant to confront them and called authorities in after they came back to do it all again.
The elephants were thought to have been driven off their land in Malaysia. Across the border, Malaysian authorities have granted concessions to cut down large areas of forest, forcing the the animals into exile in Thailand, state media reported.
