Photog brings ‘signs’ of doomsday sooner than expected

We’re being watched by the Illuminati, probed by aliens, brainwashed by Lady Gaga. We’ve been warned now is the time of inevitable doom time and again by people like Dan Brown, Giorgia A. Tsoukalos and that homeless guy sitting at pak soi at Sukhumvit 12 that we’re all part of a big plan. Yet we choose to ignore the signs.

Here comes street photographer Akkara Naktamna to rekindle those feelings among believers and naysayers alike with his show “Signs” at Kathmandu Photo Gallery on lower Silom Road.

An exhibition of his work will tickle the sweet notes for fans of conspiracy, horror, science fiction and apocalypse culture by opening our eyes to the “organic doomsday conspiracy” that surrounds us.

For those of you who would like to get a better glimpse of the messages the universe has placed oh so strategically, check out Akkara’s show which opens at 6:30pm on Aug. 1 as part of the Photo Bangkok festival.
