This savvy student just doubled his money reselling weed on Facebook

Police apprehended a student they said had been selling mad ganja over Facebook yesterday in Nakhon Phanom.

The 17-year-old student, whose name was withheld, was on the way to the post office with a parcel loaded with highly compressed bud at the time of his arrest, provincial Governor Adisak Thep-ard said.

The bud’s relative dankness was also withheld.

Authorities searched the suspect’s house but reportedly found nothing illegal.

The student later confessed – police said – that he sold about 20 packages of marijuana to put some cash in his pockets. He said he bought the goods from a “Lao dealer” for up to THB3,000 per kilogram and and then resold it via Facebook for up to THB7,000. Savvy.

He was detained for further questioning.

Local post office chief Kittithon Thanakornsirikul confirmed his staff does posess scanners to check packages for illicit goods, according to Bangkok Post, but can’t be expected to find every little illegal thing.
