‘French Fries’ crowned Miss Thailand World

Twenty-two-year-old “French Fries” from Chiang Mai was crowned the new Miss Thailand World and won a THB1 million cash prize along with a new house and brand-new Nissan on Saturday night.

French Fries, also known as Thanyachanok Moonninta, graduated from Thammasat University with a degree in Chinese Studies, speaks fluent Chinese and is Thailand’s hope to win over the Chinese judges in the international Miss World contest, which will be held in Hainan in December.

Before winning Miss Thailand World, French Fries was a model, actress, MC, and host of the news show “Good Morning on the Road”. Good job, girl!

Second place went to Minlada Sarangsok (left) while Nantawan Ruengrit (right) came third.

Nantawan’s chances of winning were possibly harmed by her giving the most honest answer ever in pageant history in the question round, and that’s bad.

The top five contestants were asked to answer the same question: “If you could wish for one thing, what would you wish for?”

Nantawan jumped right out and said, “I wish I would be Miss Thailand World!”

Who cares about world peace and children’s education? Nantawan knows what the pageant is really all about, and so do we.

Anyway, here are more lovely photos of French Fries.
