Bangkok bombing: The day after the blast (photos and video)

Utility crews took to the streets of Rajaprasong intersection in downtown Bangkok today to clean up after Thailand’s worst bombing in history last night left at least 20 dead.

Watch the Coconuts TV report:

The scene at Erawan Shrine was crowded but calm. Onlookers and reporters were trying to see inside the shrine and take photos.

Inside the shrine it seemed like things were almost back to normal. There was very little remaining little debris left in the shrine area. Some people were laying flowers and placing garlands.

Outside the shrine areas there was more broken glass that has probably now been cleaned up.

Cleaners were washing the street down and workers were planting a tree in place of one that had been damaged.

Officers had reduced the cordoned off area to just immediately around the shrine. Last night they pushed the crowds back to the McDonald’s.

The skywalk near the shrine was still blocked off but the BTS Skytrain was running.
