Bounty for Erawan bomber increased to THB 3 million

The reward for anyone with information which leads to the arrest of the Rajaprasong bomber was increased today from THB1 million to THB3 million.

The increase in the reward came from Somwang Asrasi, a red-shirt leader and the former secretary to Deputy Commerce Minister who offered up an additional THB2 million, according to Daily News.

Meanwhile, Royal Thai Police commissioner Pol. Gen. Somyot Pumpanmuang also reiterated a theory today that the Erawan Blast was not committed by an international terrorism network as information from Interpol did not indicate any terrorism movement.

He also revealed that preliminary investigations had indicated there was no connection between the Rajaprasong and Sathorn bombing in the following day.

Somyout said the second bombing at Sathorn pier, where a pipe bomb was thrown into the water, was likely intended to create disturbance and seemed to resemble the Siam Paragon bombing last year, Thai PBS reported.
